Preamble

We, the members of the Fraternity of Yaboa within the Yahcalo Ndigena Tribal Nation, hereby establish this Fraternity Charter to bind us in unity and strength under the principles of familyhood, prosperity, and community service. Our bloodline fraternity is a collective organization founded on cultural values, family integrity, and the collective advancement of our tribe. In this fraternity, we aim to uphold the legacy of our ancestors while securing a future of sustainable development, shared wealth, and moral excellence.


Article I: Name and Purpose

  • Section 1: Name
    This organization shall be known as the Fraternity of Yaboa. Yaboa Lodge #1

  • Section 2: Purpose
    The purpose of this Bloodline Fraternity is to:

    1. Foster unity and mutual support among bloodline members.
    2. Invest in the growth and prosperity of our tribe and its projects, including but not limited to community businesses, villages, and tribal land.
    3. Maintain the legacy of our bloodline by ensuring continuous growth and development through each generation.
    4. Uphold a code of moral integrity and charity work to serve the tribe and its people.
    5. Provide for the welfare of members through collective wealth-building and resource sharing.

Article II: Membership

  • Section 1: Eligibility
    Membership in the Fraternity of Yaboa is open to individuals who:

    1. Are recognized as direct bloodline descendants of a founding member of the fraternity. Or Voted by in by all active members of the lodge.
    2. Uphold the values of the fraternity, including good moral character and commitment to community service.
    3. Commit to paying the monthly fraternity dues and participating in communal activities.
  • Section 2: Dues
    Each member is required to pay $100 per month as their fraternity dues. These dues will be used for the following purposes:

    1. Investment into the tribe's communal development projects, including businesses, villages, and tribal land.
    2. Maintenance and enhancement of the fraternity’s programs, including educational, cultural, and charitable endeavors.
    3. Supporting the growth and financial stability of the fraternity and its members.
  • Section 3: Petition Fee
    A one-time Petition Fee of $150 will be required for all new members upon joining the fraternity. This fee is fully refundable if not accepted into the fraternity and helps to cover initial administrative costs.

  • Section 4: Charitable Obligations
    All members must dedicate time and resources to charity work, which may include volunteering, donations, and other forms of service that contribute to the welfare of the tribe and its people.


Article III: The Order of Yoboa

The Order of Yoboa represents the hierarchy and stages of development within the fraternity. All members will begin their journey within the Order of Yoboa, progressing through the following stages:

  • Section 1: Apprentice
    The Apprentice stage is for new members who are learning the ways of the fraternity and the responsibilities of the tribe. During this phase, members are mentored by more experienced members and take part in community work, education, and initiation rituals. Apprentices will gain foundational knowledge of the tribe’s culture, business practices, and the goals of the fraternity.

    • Responsibilities of Apprentices:
      1. Pay dues regularly.
      2. Participate in community service projects.
      3. Attend fraternity meetings and training sessions.
      4. Uphold high moral character and demonstrate commitment to the fraternity's values.
  • Section 2: Journeyman
    After successfully completing the Apprentice stage, a member is promoted to Journeyman. At this level, members have demonstrated competence in the tribe’s practices and have begun to contribute significantly to communal projects and financial ventures.

    • Responsibilities of Journeymen:
      1. Take on leadership roles in fraternity and community projects.
      2. Contribute to decision-making processes within the fraternity.
      3. Mentor Apprentices and guide them in their duties.
      4. Further their education in cultural, economic, and governance systems.
  • Section 3: Master Builder (Yaboa)
    The Master Builder (Yaboa) represents the pinnacle of achievement within the fraternity. A Master Builder has shown exceptional leadership, contributed significantly to the tribe's economic development, and upheld the moral and cultural values of the fraternity. Yaboas are entrusted with large-scale projects and are responsible for building the tribe's infrastructure and guiding the next generation of members.

    • Responsibilities of Master Builders:
      1. Lead and oversee major fraternity and tribe-wide projects.
      2. Manage and invest fraternity funds in communal businesses and land developments.
      3. Represent the fraternity in the Cuthaugula Coahuila National Congress.
      4. Maintain and cultivate strong ties with other fraternities, ensuring unity and collaboration.
      5. Ensure that the fraternity’s values and code of conduct are upheld by all members.

Article IV: Fraternity Funds and Profits

  • Section 1: Investment in the Tribe
    All dues paid by fraternity members will be pooled together to support the development of the tribe and its projects. These projects may include:

    1. Community businesses and retail operations.
    2. Development and improvement of village spaces and infrastructure.
    3. Tribal land development, farming, and resource management.
  • Section 2: Profit Sharing
    In return for their monthly dues, all paid members are entitled to a share of the profits derived from the community projects and businesses that the fraternity invests in. This includes but is not limited to profits from:

    1. Business ventures established by the tribe.
    2. Agricultural or farming enterprises run by the community.
    3. The collective use of tribal land for residential, commercial, or agricultural purposes.
  • Profits will be distributed equitably among fraternity members, ensuring that each member benefits from the tribe’s collective success.


Article V: Code of Conduct

  • Section 1: Morality and Character
    All members of the Fraternity of Yaboa are expected to maintain the highest standards of moral character. Members are to:

    1. Treat all people, both within and outside the fraternity, with respect, dignity, and fairness.
    2. Uphold the values of honesty, integrity, and loyalty to the tribe and the fraternity.
    3. Avoid any actions that would bring disrepute to the fraternity or the tribe.
  • Section 2: Familyhood and Unity
    The fraternity is built on the foundation of familyhood. As such, members must always put the welfare of their fellow fraternity members and the tribe above personal gain. Strong, supportive relationships within the fraternity and across the Fraternities of Yaboa are vital for the prosperity of the tribe.


Article VI: Amendments

This Fraternity Charter may be amended or revised by a majority vote of the fraternity’s Master Builders, in consultation with the tribe’s governing bodies. All proposed changes must be in alignment with the core values of the tribe and the fraternity.


Ratification

This Fraternity of Yaboa (Yaboa Lodge #1) Charter is hereby ratified and adopted by the members of the fraternity on this Nov 15, 2024. It shall remain in effect until amended or repealed according to the provisions outlined herein.
